What are your thoughts on this cover?

It’s great to me. I’ve never done XXL, so it’s exciting. And to be doing it with Nicki, man, that’s my dog. That’s more than my dog. That’s, like, we have the most interesting relationship, ’cause it’s so multilayered. That’s my co-worker, my peer, my family. But, at the same time, on any given day, she’s, like, the love of my life… Nicki’s a very intriguing character. To be doing it with her is great, man.

Lil Wayne signed her to his label, Mariah Carey and Usher put her in their videos, and now Robin Thicke is singing the praises of Nicki Minaj.

It was the smooth operator’s pal Jay-Z who first put him up on the Young Money femcee, who he affectionately calls Ninja. The two ended up collaborating on the Polow Da Don-produced “Shakin’ It 4 Daddy,” which he plans to release as the next U.S. single from his Sex Therapy album.

Like many, Thicke fell for the hip-hop Barbie. “Nicki is a very, very special young lady,” he tells Rap-Up.com. “Not only is she incredibly talented and sexy and charming, but she’s also a really good person and she’s very smart, so I think she’s gonna have a very long career.”

Before we get to see his on-screen chemistry with Minaj, the new father will team up with another rap star, Snoop Dogg, in the video for “It’s in the Mornin’,” filmed last month in Malibu.

BET’s Spring Bling 2010 will be airing on tv starting April 16th, but they have already started filming some of the performances. On Saturday Nicki Minaj kicked off Spring Bling with a performance in South Florida. She took to twitter to share with her followers the festive shoes she wore on stage:

We found out that she is wearing the Joie Lace Up Wedge w/Fringe. Nicki has on the Multi Print on Cream style. I love the graphic print on them in the rainbow of colors – very different.
