Now the ladies are at it again with another song that will be on Ciara’s album, due July 9. The song will be called Livin’ It Up.

Nicki is so busy making music the current time. This didn’t prevent her from making a song with Wale that will be featured in his upcoming album! The single is called “Clappers” and it is also featured by Juicy J. Nicki pops up to spit about giant rumps (coulda told you that one) and gives a “shout-out to that cellulite.” (Amen, sister!) OK, we’ll concede that “Clappers” is the clear front-runner for the “ratchet booty jam of the summer” award. Listen to the song above!

Barbz! Nicki has uploaded her “GrizzLee” directed Behind the Scenes video footage of her next music video feature, Mario’s “Somebody Else.” Nicki is looking bad as fuck in this BTS footage, again with the black and gold look giving me Billboard teas. We can’t wait for the video to come out, and we’re more than sure you all can’t wait either.
“I’m doing this for women in general to feel beautiful and sexy. Any woman can wear it and feel confident,” Nicki Minaj says in a new behind-the-scenes video about her forthcoming KMart clothing collection.
While we love the sentiment, it’s going to take an extraordinary amount of confidence to rock a skin-tight mini dress, a puffy vest and bedazzled captain hat–at the same time. However, that seems to be exactly the over-the-top look Nicki is going for with her first fashion collaboration. Add some printed leggings, babyboll dresses, bold blazers, metallic bustiers and you’ve got yourself a celebrity clothing line that’s more flashy than classy.
In the ”Shop Your Way” clip, the 30-year-old rapper-cum-designer gushes over the garish garments and explains that she didn’t want fans to think she’d only be producing “crazy stuff.” But that’s all we’re seeing. Considering Nicki’s recently makeunder, we thought the line would reflect some of her toned down style, but then again this KMart partnership was inked when the star was still sporting costumes andpasties on a regular basis.
Check out the video above. What do you think of the collection?
Gather ’round Barbs, Queen Barbie has released the first look at her new line for Kmart and online retailer Shop Your Way and it’s kinda cray.
The rapper announced her partnership with the budget megastore earlier this year, describing the line in a press conference as, “rich stuff, quality stuff; my big thing is that it cannot look cheesy or cheap.”
Not cheap? We’d have to give the clothing a proper feeling up to determine that. Not cheesy? We can’t check that box off with confidence just yet. As teased by the preview video released this week, Minaj’s line is pretty much what you’d expect from a fashionista-without-borders—tethered by Kmart execs.
The collection appears to emulate the outlandish Minaj’s style at a fairly basic level. Although the 30-year-old star has historically hit stages and red carpets in Gaga-threatening costumes, her style in 2013 has been exceptionally toned down. It may have a lot to do with her time as an American Idol judge, given that the show’s audience isn’t the most style conscious.
From what we can see, the line flaunts bright colors, neons, and bold prints, focusing on leggings, body con dresses, and blazers similar to what the rapper herself has been wearing this year (that gray one has got to go).
Minaj said of the line, “There are some dresses that I’m obsessing over already, just the shapes of them. They tuck you in at the right places and they enhance the right places.”
Overall the collection seems a bit hit-and-miss, ranging from stuff you could find at discount street shops to fairly chic Versace-esque chain print dresses and fun metallic bustiers. Guessing by the presence of puffy jackets and fun fur, the line will be released this fall.

It’s no secret that Nicki Minaj has transformed her look in a major way this year. She’s stepped away from her wild styles and ridiculous ‘fits into an image that “highlights that she is a woman, a very attractive woman with a great body,” her new stylist Jerod McClairn says.
Since joining her glam squad in November, McClairn–who has also lent his sartorial know-how to Tracy McGrady, Penny Hardaway and Brandon Jennings–has become the visionary behind creating the Queen Barbie’s current look. He credits the 17 years in the entertainment industry as his preparation for his first foray into switching up a client’s image.

Is anyone else getting super anxious for the official drop of Nicki Minaj‘s Shop Your Way collection with Kmart? Barbz, I know you feel me. We’ve been following along since the first mention of the collaborative clothing line, carved out time for the live press conference, set our alarms for the first look, and even placed our ballots for the t-shirt slogan contest. Each step taking us closer to the collection’s slated launch this fall but also forcing us to ask a little louder, “CAN WE HAZ YET?” Welp, here’s another milestone to add to the road to the line’s final unveiling: behind-the-scenes video of Nicki and her design team working on the collection.
Minaj hits up the design studio with her team to go over some of the latest stock of samples: printed skater dresses with cut-outs, graphic leggings, technicolor puffer vests, and cropped bustier tops. “There are some dresses that I’m obsessing over already, just the shapes of them,” Nicki says over shots of potential inclusions in the forth-coming collection, “They tuck you in in the right places and enhance the right places.” Form is important to Minaj who rattles off “Comfortable equals confident” as a kind of fashion design mantra. “I’m doing this for women in general to feel beautiful and sexy,” the Queen Barb explains, “and any woman can wear it and feel confident.” Stay up-to-date on Nicki’s Kmart collection and help guide the process along by following her Shop Your Way page!
