It’s no secret that Nicki Minaj has transformed her look in a major way this year. She’s stepped away from her wild styles and ridiculous ‘fits into an image that “highlights that she is a woman, a very attractive woman with a great body,” her new stylist Jerod McClairn says.
Since joining her glam squad in November, McClairn–who has also lent his sartorial know-how to Tracy McGrady, Penny Hardaway and Brandon Jennings–has become the visionary behind creating the Queen Barbie’s current look. He credits the 17 years in the entertainment industry as his preparation for his first foray into switching up a client’s image.

Minaj hits up the design studio with her team to go over some of the latest stock of samples: printed skater dresses with cut-outs, graphic leggings, technicolor puffer vests, and cropped bustier tops. “There are some dresses that I’m obsessing over already, just the shapes of them,” Nicki says over shots of potential inclusions in the forth-coming collection, “They tuck you in in the right places and enhance the right places.” Form is important to Minaj who rattles off “Comfortable equals confident” as a kind of fashion design mantra. “I’m doing this for women in general to feel beautiful and sexy,” the Queen Barb explains, “and any woman can wear it and feel confident.” Stay up-to-date on Nicki’s Kmart collection and help guide the process along by following her Shop Your Way page!
Nicki Minaj is getting in on the adult beverage game, announcing today that she has become part-owner in the fruit-infused wine line Myx Fusions. As part of this new business venture, Nicki will become the focal point of the brand’s marketing campaign, which will be spread across print, radio, television and special event platforms.
Myx currently sells their moscato wine only in New York, New Jersey, Los Angeles and Las Vegas, with its small blue bottle becoming a signature staple.
“I am so excited to team with the Myx brand,” said Minaj in a statement. “It’s a great-tasting, amazing product that people will love. It’s not even a hard sell. Myx Fusions gives us an opportunity to revolutionize the wine industry.”
“Moscato has done wonders for wine consumption and Myx Fusions will do the same for moscato,” said CEO Peter Reaske in a press release. “We believe that Nicki Minaj’s partnership combined with the appeal of the Myx product will have a ground-breaking impact on the wine industry.”
Nicki Minaj has proven to be both a hip-hop and pop threat, but her versatility doesn’t stop there. Through the years, the Trinidad-born hitmaker has dabbled in dancehall, showing off her Caribbean swag, making her most recent splash with labelmate Busta Rhymes on the remix to his new reggae-drenched single, “Twerk It.”
The Dungeon Dragon first released his Pharrell-produced island thump last month, and Thursday night, he gave the track new life by adding the queen of Queens, New York. This time out, rather than employing her alter-ego Roman or her sometimes London accent, Nicki leans on her West Indian roots and lets loose a deep Patois. “Dutty gal, when ya see mi and what yu fi do/ Bow down, big chain and it heavy too,” she raps in a slow and measured pace.
Keeping with the vibe, Nicki goes on to shout out dancehall influencers like Vybz Kartel, Beenie Man and Bounty Killer, before repping for her birthplace, spitting: “Trinidad an no Jame$ mi no chat ’bout.”
Busta Rhymes, who is Jamaican-American, has always dabbled in reggae. On his 2009 album, Back On My B.S., he and Pharrell created a similar vibe with “Kill Dem.”
This isn’t the first time Nicki has embraced dancehall, either. Back in 2010, she hopped on a remix of Jamaican reggae singer Gyptian’s hit “Hold You,” and earlier this year, she contributed to French Montana’s Lil Vicious-sampling single “Freaks.” Though Montana’s single is technically a rap song, Nicki’s verse was drenched with island slang. “I feel like this song brings back the essence of the dancehall,” French told MTV News about “Freaks” back in March. “I feel like just the dances alone in this song is gonna take it somewhere else.”
Nicki’s remix with Busta Rhymes of the song ‘Twerk It’ is finally out! Nicki sounds amazing in this minute-verse cameo of her in the song.
Also, Busta Rhymes, Nicki Minaj and Pharrell shot a music video for the “Twerk It” remix at Pulse 48 in Flatbush, Brooklyn. Harajuku Barbie will be there in the official music video remix! Keep checking back to YoungMoneyHQ for the remix and to watch the music video, which is being directed by Director X.

We all love Nicki’s over-the-top hair looks that are ever changing and always extravagant. While filming for the upcoming film The Other Woman, Nicki has been able to sample an assortment of fun and different colored hair wigs.
When we saw the singer with her new blonde and dramatically shorter hair, we had to do a double take!
This look is absolutely stunning on Nicki! Her new “long bob” is shorter in the back with longer layers towards the front. While this new hairstyle could be described as a “make under” for the star, we think these softer locks look simple and elegant on her — and she still manages to look fierce!
