Nicki Minaj has paid tribute to the victims of the Manchester Arena bombing during her sold-out show in the city.
The horrendous act of terror took place as an Ariana Grande concertin May 2017 ended and saw 23 of attendees (mostly children and their parents) taken from their families. Minaj, one of Grande’s collaborators, used a portion of her show to honour their lives.
She told the crowd:
“God bless the families of everybody who survived them, and God bless Manchester for being resilient and not bowing down to fear. For being strong no matter what. No matter what.”
The entertainer has enjoyed a successful commercial run on her Nicki Wrld Tour despite facing a number of logistical errors which forced her to pull the plug on a number of shows. U.S. dates are pending announcement.
