It was the first female rap collaboration to top the chart, and was hailed as the song that paved the way for other collaborations, according to Billboard. The track also became Nicki Minaj’s first #1 on the chart.

Nicki Minaj and Beyoncé’s “Feeling Myself” video is 7 years old today. Filming took place at the Coachella 2015 festival specifically for the Tidal service.

There are 43 days left before Nicki returns to the stage. On June 30, Minaj will perform at the Essence Festival in New Orleans.

Nicki Minaj’s natural beauty is taking over the internet, and her fans are totally hair for it. The rapper this week posted a series of videos of herself with little to no makeup and clips of her long, natural hair.

In the first video, Minaj is seen posing with a pulled back ponytail and laid edges. She also posted several videos of her hairstylist combing, smoothing and straightening her mid-back length hair with a brush and blowdryer.

“I’m L Long hair don’t care,” the “Feeling Myself” rapper wrote in a caption alongside the carousel of images.

Since posting, Minaj’s videos and photos have racked up more than 1 million likes and truckloads of comments from her fans. TV host and actress La La Anthony commented on the post with several heart-eye emojis, saying Minaj was “fresh face looking.” Another Instagram user chimed in, saying, “I’m sorry but this is infinitely more beautiful than your wigs,” referencing the colorful hair and blonde wigs the rapper typically sports.

Minaj later followed up with another video, giving everyone a better look at her natural strands. In the video, someone can be overheard saying “no tracks, no wig.” 

Minaj’s second post also addressed criticism from users who claimed her original videos were not a truthful representation of her natural hair.

“If you wanna know how thick my hair is go ask the ppl who do it how long it takes to straighten it out,” she wrote in the caption. “We all have diff texture follicles.” Minaj made headlines in 2014 for a similar post, after she shared an image of herself holding up a ponytail full of her natural hair with the caption, “No perm. No extensions.”

Nicki Minaj narrowly managed to avoid a wardrobe malfunction on the Met Gala 2022 red carpet. After famously skipping last year’s fancy fête over its vaccine mandate, the “Anaconda” rapper — who seems to have come around to getting jabbed — attended Monday’s ball in a feathery Burberry bustier gown, leather leggings and a matching baseball cap. But as she explained on the carpet, her dress’ bust left her, well, busting out.

“The only unplanned thing about my look is my boobs popping out, because they made my cup size a little small,” Minaj joked.

“Enjoy these titties, ’cause y’all ain’t gonna see that ever again.”

The musician — who finished off her daring ensemble with gemstones all over her arms, chest and face applied by Pat McGrath’s team — attended alongside Burberry creative director Riccardo Tisci.

Nicki Minaj says she is in a good place. The rapper, 39, briefly opened up about her sobriety in a series of tweets posted Thursday on Twitter. After a Twitter user asked if she was high, the artist replied in a quote-tweet;

“No I’m sober & loving life. You ?”

In a second tweet, Minaj added, “I used to b happy when I was high. Now I’m happy when I’m sober. No judgement to anyone. Be gentle with yourself. 🎀.”

In a third tweet, she said:

“My eyes naturally look like that and ppl always think I’m high when I’m not wearing makeup. Plus my eyes are naturally gray & I was born in the Caribbean islands of Cuba. The 1st paragraph was 💯 true tho.”

Minaj previously talked about how motherhood has changed her. She welcomed her son, now 18 months, with husband Kenneth Petty in September 2020. During a February appearance on The Late Late Show, the “Barbie Tingz” artist told host James Corden that becoming a mother “has made me see more good in people” and “more good in the universe.”

“It makes you more of a forgiving person,” she explained at the time, adding, “When I look at my son, I’m reminded that I am so blessed.”

“I realized, for so many women, this is their dream. Their dream is to have a child and not everybody gets that blessing,” Minaj continued. “So when you have a little baby, you are reminded every day like, ‘Oh my God. Thank you God for this little gift.’ “

Minaj also recently opened up to Corden, 43, about her mental health. During an appearance on Carpool Karaoke earlier this month, the “Trollz” artist revealed that she struggles with anxiety.

“I think when you are a woman and you’re in the public eye all the time, if you’re not careful you can become less confident because you’re being constantly scrutinized,” she explained. “I just don’t think it’s natural. It’s not natural for a human being to just always feel like everyone’s critiquing them.”
